Time for another edition of From Courtney's Closet!! And Courtney was doing somersaults over this one!

And so was I!!!!!!
But, I thought I'd spare you a similar photo of myself!
See, Libby posted this challenge today and just yesterday I had gone on a BIG trip to the city. See, us here country folk packed up the wagon and headed south to Portland to get some shopping and eatin' done. Ok, enough of that crazy talk....but sometimes that's how I feel when we head down to Portland. We live in the middle of 11 acres and the nearest Walmart is 25 min drive, no malls within 1 hour drive, let alone a Michael's, AC Moore or {{shutter the thought}} a LSS. And don't get me wrong, I {{love}} it! We have some of the prettiest beaches, buildings, countryside in the U.S. of A. But, it's funny what you get used to. I grew up outside of Boston, went to college in Arizona, moved back to Boston and worked in downtown Boston for 10 years, moved to Dallas, Texas and worked in downtown Dallas, moved to Florida and worked at one of the leading resorts in the country, my point being, I've been around. OK, not around but you get the idea. But after being up here in the country for the last 4 years .... Geez, heading to lil' ole Portland seems BIG. And I would not change a thing...
Profound, I know... =)
Moving on...
Here's my card...
I almost forgot to say, the reason why I was doing somersaults when I saw what Libby posted was because one of my many purchases yesterday was Craft Affair by Hampton Arts Owl Garden set!!! Yay! I am sorry, I wanted to post a link to show you the set, but, apparently it is so new that I can't even find it on the internet. Imagine that, I am on the cutting edge....LOL! I think not but I could not find it listed anywhere. It is new and I bought it at Michael's along with another amazing set from Stampendous called From the Kitchen which I can NOT wait to use. I made and canned a BUNCH of strawberry jam and cherry jam and this set is gonna look o-so-cute on the tops of my bottles!
Another look...
I used the Mojo Monday Sketch and I think I am smitten with Mr. Owl!! Oh and yes that's my kitchen twine wrapped around the card. Hmm, no roasted chicken tonight, I guess.
Thanks for stopping by...

Beautiful card Karen! I love all those popped up leaves and the inspiration goes perfect with the sketch.
I love being in the middle of nowhere in Maine! Well, for a week of vacation at least. I'm hoping to get up in August--we go to a small town called Cushing and when we "go to town" it's definitely a trip, and a list needs to be made. Not like my house in NH--I have two craft stores, Walmart and 3 grocery stores within a mile. I think I'd save more if I didn't!
Darling card and owl! I agree with Carly that the popped up leaves are superb! :)
Beautiful Karen! love how you popped your leaves! and the owl is a cutie!
Fabulous job!
Blessings, Maria

I am working on mine now
